My Commentary On SML’s Latest Video “Jeffy’s 18th Birthday!”

Spoiler Alert: It’s Not Worth Watching!

          I really hoped Logan would truly end the Jeffy timeline today in his latest video Jeffy’s 18^th Birthday! I would have been fine with Logan either killing him off of sending him off (like he would move out or something) in order for this offensive character to no longer be in one of my favorite creator’s content. But it turns out Jeffy’s real father is alive and didn’t give Jeffy millions of dollars and Jeffy didn’t die in a truck explosion. My opinion on this is probably because the Jeffy fans have gone completely insane and the theories, they made got Logan’s attention and he decided not to get rid of Jeffy. I just want to say that as an old school fan of SML (formerly known as SuperMarioLogan), Jeffy has really offended people with disabilities and Logan is just really selfish and he only cares about Jeffy, making money off Jeffy, and even cares about the Jeffy fans too much!

 

          I wish Nintendo would have just gone with the flow because there are other content creators who do use Mario characters on YouTube, and they’ve never gotten in trouble (at least not yet). But Nintendo only sent SML a cease-and-desist letter because he made the company look bad. So, I understood that. But Logan should have used Jeffy as a one-time character in the first place. But people just are crazy in love with Jeffy and Logan wanted to be loved through that. So, silly me.

 

 

          Today at church, we talked about influencers. We talked about Christians needing to wake up and look around at the people they surround themselves with and allow to influence our lives and to figure out how to use our lives to influence with others. It’s my goal to have a platform similar to SML’s, but use it for wholesome and positive influence.

 

          Well, that’s all I got to say. But I hope Logan will soon understand that he has offended people with disabilities. As someone who has a disability, like myself, I’ve seen the Jeffy character portray lots of disability or neurodiverse traits in a negative, bullying, and an offensive light. Also, I hope the Jeffy fans don’t go crazy if Logan does eventually actually get rid of Jeffy. I really hope there’s a light in Logan’s life and that God would protect him and his friends and family regardless. Thanks for reading. Have a great evening!
